American Sign Language Teachers Association
ASL EDU: Virtual Symposium

The ASL EDU: Virtual Symposium is one of our professional development events that we offer annually, and we are excited to host our third virtual symposium online webinar series this January 17th and 18th, 2026, with the theme “Beyond Vocabulary: Curriculum That Builds Language, Culture, and Confidence.”
Our symposiums bring together scholars and educators to discuss various topics related to enhancing students’ learning experience in ASL classrooms through multiple assessment strategies. It promises to be a stimulating two days of talks, workshops, and discussions that foster a deeper understanding of teachers’ roles in students’ language learning.
We welcome all educators, including ASL teachers, mentors, administrators, and interpreters, to attend the ASLTA’s second symposium! Your diverse perspectives and experiences are highly valued and will enrich our discussions.
All webinar sessions and social events will be conducted through Zoom.
