Job Description

Gallaudet University - College of Professional Studies and Outreach’s ASL Program is looking for ASL instructors who could teach ASL classes during the summer time. ASL Instructor needs to have Master’s degree in ASL/Deaf Studies, Linguistics, education, or a related field. The following classes, credits, and dates that are needed:


Session A (June 21 – July 2):



  • American Sign Language I (3 credits) from 9 am - 2:30 pm, M-F

  • American Sign Language III (3 credits) from 9 am - 2:30 pm, M-F

  • American Sign Language V (3 credits) from 9 am - 2:30 pm, M-F

  • Intermediate Fingerspelling (1 credit) from 3 pm – 5 pm, M – Th


Session B (July 6 – July 16):



  • Beginning Fingerspelling (1 credit) from 3 pm to 5 pm, T – Th, M - Th


Session C (July 19 – July 30):



  • American Sign Language VI (3 credits) from 9 am - 2:30 pm, M-F

  • Beginning Fingerspelling (1 credit) from 3 pm to 5 pm, M – Th

  • Intermediate Fingerspelling (1 credit) from 3 pm – 5 pm, M – Th
