According to our historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated July 3, 2002, the ASLTA became a separate and autonomous association on December 31, 2003. We anticipate many exciting changes, such as hiring a new Executive Director, finding a new Home Office, and restructuring our membership categories. All of these changes will not come at once but the ASLTA Board is working hard to make exciting things happen for our "new" independent association.
Now, there is no longer a pro-rated membership system. The primary goal is to have an annual membership. There are different categories of membership: Certified, Associate, Supporting, Institutional, and Honorary. Annual Membership fees, benefits and bylaws comments are explained in detail in the chart below.
The online application process is under development. For mailing, please print and fill out the 2010 ASLTA Membership Application Form and Demographic Survey completely and legibly, then send them to the address provided below with check or money order payable to American Sign Language Teachers Association.
