How do I find or hire an ASL teacher?

Contact the local chapters of ASLTA for local information. Local ASLTA Officers' contact information can be found by clicking on the "Chapters" button on the main navigation menu of this website.

You can also contact local Deaf Service Centers, the school for the Deaf, colleges that offer ASL instruction, and other similar places.

How do I find or hire an ASL interpreter?

The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) maintains a website including searches for interpreters, interpreter agencies, and interpreter training programs.

Where can I find a college or university that offers ASL classes?

All interpreter training programs offer ASL classes that can be taken alone.
